Wish List

So it would seem that I am no good with keeping up with my skin & hair care...
Everything I have (which isn't a lot anyway) is on it's last legs and I don't get paid until the end of the month, talk about tough luck.
Money issues have been a real pain for me recently so hair and skin care routines have been thrown totally out the window. Facewipes should only be your friend after a night out and a cheap shampoo might be friendly on the purse but it really isn't a friend to your hair.
My next pay day should be a good'n! So i've decided to step up my game, make a wish list and then go for it!

123 PERFECT?

I never got round to trying the Bourjois  Healthy Mix foundation so when my friend and I went shopping and she said she wanted to try this '123 PERFECT', we decided to go halves and use it when we're getting ready to go out so we both get to use it the same amount, if you know what I mean? We typically don't go out one without the other so this works out quite well :)
We got the colour BEIGE as we tend to be fairly tanned recently, I find the colour can be fixed to suit my tone however looks pretty perfect on my friend.

I've been using the St Moriz tan a lot and have still not managed to find a foundation that matches up perfectly with the colour I turn :S

                         - Medium coverage but with a little work can be full coverage.
     - All the shades seem to be a little on the pink/rose toned side.
  - It didn't completely mask redness but over all it did even out my skin.
-Slightly cakey feel and I noticed it separated on areas of my face throughout the day.

I have really mixed views on this foundation and can probably blame it on my truly awful skin! I imagine this foundation would be lovely on naturally balanced skin types looking to simply even out the skin.
For just over £6.00, I can't really complain!

Getting that feeling

No naming names, but a very important boy in my life recently told me what his perfect day with a girl would be - I had asked of course.
The idea was that I would write about the products id use, makeup, hair care, clothes... you know... that id use if it was me going on that 'date day', truth is, when I read what the day/evening would be, I didn't think about what id be wearing or what makeup id have on - I was too busy trying to settle my tummy full of butterflies and imagining actually being there. Turns out boys can be just as lovely about these things as we always wish they'd be.
I had to really think about all this because to be honest, if the day's as perfect as it should be, you shouldn't be worried about over dolling up. But here goes :)

If you're waking up next to someone it should mean you really like each other, if not love... so chances are you're going to want to look slightly less like you've just woken up and more like they do in the movies...
I really love bareMinerals Pure Transformation night treatment to help stay looking flawless while you sleep and just as you wake up :)
I'm afraid there's not much you can do to keep your hair looking lovely for when you wake up, but a little talc can work wonders if you have slightly greasy hair :)

My 'day date' is spending the day out and about, little bit of shopping, nice walks, having a giggle, doing anything we fancy so id keep makeup simple, but as you don't want to be topping up, id still stick to my Estee Lauder DoubleWear foundation and waterproof Benefit eye makeup :)
I'd also recommend ELF's makeup mist and set.
Once you have your base, a teeny bit of blush OR bronzer should be enough and then a sleek line/winged liner with a light coat of mascara to make your eyes stand out.

I'm presuming this would be a day out in the summer so for clothes id go pretty but relaxed, maybe something like...

I don't remember how much I paid for these but any wedges are cute in my opinion for a date day :)
Cute dress or jeans and a pretty top - sorted!

Evening would be a nice meal, some drinks and lots of conversation :)
Id go for heavier/darker eye makeup as there should be lots of looking into each others eyes, but don't forget, this is a date, not a night out clubbing, so avoid all out black smokey eyes and be more adventurous with the smokey look, purples, golds, greens...
Light contouring with a matte bronzer and lip balm instead of a colour.
Outfit could really be anything, think about where you are going and the mood. Keep the outfit simple but make an effort, make sure you don't forget that you are not on the pull, you are with someone special, so switch the revealing clothes for some sexy underwear and keep the outfit elegant.

Who am I?

Hey babba's! This post is literally just about me... getting to know me, the girl behind all the chatter.
You may or may not find it interesting, either way is fine of course :)

So the obvious - My name is Kerri, unless we're being honest, in which case my name is Kerrie~leigh. I'd tell you my middle and last name but to avoid any possible snooping, I'll keep it to myself!

I'm 19 and from North York. I don't live there any more but 'home is where the heart is'.
I'm a Pisces and fall for my horoscope on a daily basis.

I am a natural blonde with blue eyes and could do with growing a few inches. I've got my ears, nose, lip, Monroe, belly and tongue pierced, I'm actually terrified of needles so I'm yet to figure out how I ended up with any of them.
I get the giggles a lot and fall asleep if someone plays with my hair. I get hiccups when i'm nervous, that's not cool. I'm a size
4 shoe and couldn't tell you what size I am in clothes because shop's are inconsistent these days :')
Like many girls, I have things id like to change and things I don't mind so much about myself.
I'm a little all over the place but generally tend to know what I want in life.

My parents split when I was little my 'family story' is nothing anyone needs to know. I have been through a hell of a lot in my life so far, this isn't a sob story so i'll spare the details, but I grew up fast and have become a very independent, level headed young woman - or so id like to think.
I love going out on the Harley and admiring custom choppers, OCC can keep me amused for hours. A girl can dream.
I grew up with bikes and fast cars, one day i'll have my own American muscle car and Harley and be one very happy girl!
I write, blog, sing, play guitar, dance, i'm a makeup artist and beautician... and work in childcare.
If I could live every other day cruising 'round Phoenix listening to Blake Shelton and the other days shopping my socks off in the big city, well that would make me super happy too!
The other side of me likes makeup, shoes, magazines, blah blah blah! You know the typical girl stereotype.
I have a thing for Disney, I want to spend Christmas there one year <3
I also want to take one whole day to show someone all my favourite things and places... someone special.
I have insomnia but on the bright side, i'm always up to chat!
I used to be mega unsociable but have recently got my backside into gear and realised that life is worth living!
I'm certainly no role model, I'm not overly intelligent or pretty, I don't exercise or eat healthily, i've made some rubbish choices in my life but i'm happy :)
I'm not taken but my heart is, maybe it'll be both if my luck picks up!
I have the best friends a girl could ask for and a bestfriend id kill for.
And if you want to know a little more, just ask!

Diorskin Forever vs Estee Lauder Doublewear

Hey Babbas!
The title of this post says it all... I have been dying to pick a winner for quite some time now and after asking others for opinions I opted for the sensible route and got myself samples of both.
I love Dior but have always found that their foundations look amazing on others - not so much on me. However, after reading numerous reviews on the Diorskin Forever I decided I couldn't resist trying it out.
My personal experience with the MUA on the makeup counter wasn't as great as id hoped and so I only walked away with a sample size, being honest, I didn't entirely trust the shade she'd picked. Being fair, the shade wasn't far from perfect but after a few hours it had oxidised slightly on certain areas of my face and I began to look like id randomly been slapped in the face with a handful of fake tan. Good points - the coverage was nice and my 'flaws' were almost invisible however redness was definitely still there and applying too much left me looking a little cakey once id applied powder, this meant that I ended up taking the foundation off before Id had chance to test its staying power which is the products main selling point.
I liked this foundation and can totally see why some people swear by it but for me, it's not the one.

My expectations were incredibly high for the Estee Lauder double wear and I have not been disappointed. The woman on the counter was friendly and helpful without making me feel like I HAD to buy anything. I was sat down and  had a small area of my foundation removed so I could sample 3 shades before picking the perfect one. The 3 stripes of foundation were left to settle to make sure the colour didn't change at all on my skin and then we picked 2 shades, one for my skin now and a slightly darker one with the right undertones for when I'm more tanned. She then removed the foundation and applied the right shade to even my skin out again. I have 2 very reasonably sized samples of both shades and will definitely be going back to purchase the full size.
I had been told by a few people that the double wear tends to really highlight and cling to dry skin, which is a problem I have had with nearly every foundation I have ever tried, however, for me, this foundation sat on my skin perfectly, covering every imperfection, redness and pore whilst gliding over any troublesome dry patches without any problems at all, it doesn't look like I have anything on my skin, it looks like a naturally flawless face. I only have to powder once or twice every 4/5 hours to banish shine and unlike other foundations that promise long lasting wear, this really doesn't budge meaning I don't end up trying to pull off the patchy look.
I would definitely recommend this!

For the wench.

Hey Babba, so this post is alllll for you!
Heck, haven't we been through it all? But don't we always come out kicking and screaming, right on top! I absolutely love you with every teeeeeny piece of my heart, you are my rock.
If I give you grief you know it's only because I care and when you want to strangle me because i've got my bitchin' head on, just remember - You're my 'roomy' now, so don't ;)
I'll be the first to admit I can be a sucky friend, but never, ever, ever forget that you'll always  be number one and I owe you everything!
You can come to me whenever you need me (or even if you don't :P), any time sugarr.
I've been looking at our rather 'twee' canisters today and it just reminds me how amazing we are :') Our taste in furnishings and appliances couldn't be any more tacky if we tried but it's ours so... :D

You make the crumpets - I'll make the bed.

I sound like i'm writing to my wife or something... well ;)
We have the best times, no matter where we are or what we're doing, it's like a never ending party, sometimes we cry, get mad, sometimes we get the giggles because I can't make it past the first sentence in a book... You know where I'm going with this...

I have lots i'd like to say but tbh babba, you get the drift. You're my bestfriend and that's the way it is! Love you hussy! <3

Babes!

So over the last few days I have had ^^^^ that same ridiculous smile plastered on my face.
I have got myself a job in an absolutely lovely Kindergarten and my stunner of a bestfriend has snapped up some more hours at work, meaning our flat is now going to be BEAUTS!

Anyways! With my 19th birthday approaching fast... 2nd March, I am treating myself to a pamper day, hair cut and colour, wax, tan... you name it, i've probably booked it. So with my body being dolled up to the max, I feel like my face is missing out - and we can't have that.
It's a battle, Diorskin Forever vs Estee Lauder Double wear.
HELP?

Giant Leap!

Taking a giant leap in to the big wide world... I am moving out!
Never have I experienced so many emotions in such little time.
Of course I am excited - finally I will make the rules and be able to make this cosy little flat of mine my own, but I can't deny that being responsible for literally everything for the first time is nothing less than daunting.
I think having friends stay over will be the key for a good few weeks, I'm not sure i'd survive without my bestfriend showing me how to use the washing machine... Yes that's right, I do not know how to use it, i'll be honest, I've never had to use one. Saying things like that really reminds me just how much I have to learn.
On a lighter note, I have been getting very excited about buying furniture and appliances, I think that's probably the best part about moving out, so here are a few of the ultra girly, totally tacky things I've got on the 'wish list'.
House warming gifts/donations accepted ;) ahaa.
